TESTIMONIAL ASK SCRIPTS The Proof Loop, Framework 4 -------------------------------------------------------------- WHEN TO ASK -------------------------------------------------------------- Ask right after a client hits a visible win, not on a fixed schedule. Good trigger moments: a problem they came to you with is now solved, they say a version of "this is so much easier now," or they hit a result they can put a number on (time saved, money saved, a deadline they no longer worry about). Waiting for a "perfect" moment loses the ask. Ask within 48 hours of the win, while it's still fresh for them. -------------------------------------------------------------- SCRIPT 1: QUICK TEXT Low effort for them, fast to send for you. Use this most often. -------------------------------------------------------------- "Hey [Name], glad the [specific result, e.g. 'new dashboard'] is working out. Would you mind if I quoted what you just said about it? Even a couple of lines helps other business owners see what's possible." -------------------------------------------------------------- SCRIPT 2: SPECIFIC QUESTION Ask a question that already contains the objection you want to answer, so the reply comes back as usable copy. Pick the objection this persona raises most, then build the question around it. -------------------------------------------------------------- "Before we started, what almost stopped you from signing up?" "What would you tell someone who's on the fence for the same reason you were?" "What's different now that you didn't expect?" Follow-up if the answer is too short: "Could you say a bit more about [the specific thing they mentioned]? That's exactly the kind of detail that helps." -------------------------------------------------------------- SCRIPT 3: VIDEO ASK Reserve this for your best clients, the ones with a clear result and some enthusiasm. A face and a voice do more work than any written quote. -------------------------------------------------------------- "Would you be up for a quick 2-minute video, just you talking through [the result] in your own words? No script needed, I'll send you 2-3 questions beforehand so you're not put on the spot. I can jump on a call and record it if that's easier." Suggested questions to send ahead of the call: 1. What was going on before we started working together? 2. What almost stopped you from starting? 3. What's different now? -------------------------------------------------------------- FILING WHAT YOU COLLECT -------------------------------------------------------------- Tag every testimonial with four things so you can actually find the right one later: - Persona it came from - Objection it addresses - Result type (time saved, money saved, stress reduced, etc.) - Format (text, written quote, video) A folder full of unsorted praise is not an asset. A tagged testimonial you can pull up in ten seconds is. -------------------------------------------------------------- WHERE THESE SLOT INTO THE 7-EMAIL NURTURE ARC -------------------------------------------------------------- Email 3 (Proof): use a testimonial that proves the reframe from Email 2. Match it to the persona's core pain point. Email 4 (Objection): use a testimonial tagged to this persona's #1 objection. Let the client's words do the arguing, not yours. Email 6 (Urgency): use a recent testimonial about a real result to add weight, instead of a fake countdown. A testimonial isn't generic social proof. It's a targeted answer to one specific objection, placed in the exact email where that objection shows up.
